Super Easy Valentines

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I thought I would show you the easy Valentine's we put together for Carson's classroom party. These are great for boys and girls and were super cheap, too!

Crazy & Kool Valentines

Supplies needed:
Crazy Straws (I found these at Wal-Mart for $.97 for 6)
Drink Pouches (at Wal-Mart for $1 for 8)
Free Crazylou Printable
Scissors
Hole Punch

Instructions:
Print out the FREE printable.
Cut out shape.
Hole punch two holes on the printable for straw to go through.
Take the drink pouch and put it in the "crazy" part of the straw.
Slide the printable tag onto the straw.
Give to your favorite Valentine!

These took me less than an hour to put together (with limited help from Carson)! I love that it isn't candy, too. I get worried with the children that have food allergies--at least with this, even if they have a food dye allergy, they can enjoy the straw!

Crazy-easy Polka-dotted Wooden Frame

Remember last week when I shared a quote and said that I had a project for that quote? Well...I finally took pictures and can share it with you. Just in case you missed my previous post, you can find it here.

This has got to be one of the easiest craft projects to do. Hardly any skills are required. My kids could do this. Which means if you don't think you are "crafty"...you need to try this! It's crazy-easy to do! I dare you to try it!!

Here's the basic instructions for this polka-dotted frame.

Materials
Wooden Frame ($1 from Michaels)
Spray Paint (2 colors, I used black and platinum silver)
Circle Stickers (I used garage sale stickers)

Instructions
Wipe off frame with cloth. Spray paint base coat. This will be your bottom layer or the color of your polka dots. Allow to dry. Arrange circle stickers over the frame. Press each one down to secure it to the wood. Take second color and spray paint over the frame. Allow to dry. Peel stickers off of frame and enjoy your new crafty creation!
 

I love it! You could use green and red for a holiday theme, add a bow or leave it as is. I can't wait to give this as a gift this holiday season!

Free Printable Friday!!

I was working on a project that I needed a quote for. 

Found this quote somewhere on the internet and thought it was perfect and decided to create the printable. 

Exactly what I am going through right now. 

So positive and so true. 

I decided to share it first as a Free Printable and then I will show you how it looks in the project. Okay, I'm stalling. I don't have any good pics of the project yet. I'm hoping to cross that off my to-do list over the weekend. (along with about a thousand other items, too!)

Change...

This time of year makes me think a lot about change. I love falltime. I love watching the colors change. I was home sick last week and found myself staring out the window. I had a nice view of one of my trees from the couch. I posted it on instagram,here it is again:

So pretty. Thing is, I probably wouldn't have noticed it hadn't I been sick and laying on the couch all day. I'm glad I caught that picture and was able to really enjoy the beauty around me that day.

I've been thinking about positive change in my life a lot lately (mostly because of Nerium). I saw this quote at a gift shop a few weeks back and snapped a picture of it. I decided to turn it into a fun printable for you. Haven't done one in awhile, so I think it was due. I hope you enjoy it. I hope you find it striking and true, just as I did.

Fall Bucket List--Free Printable

I'm bound and determined to make it start feeling like Fall!! Geez...we couldn't get summer during the actual summer months, but lately, it's been HOT! Father's Day Survey

You know how Mother's Day falls during the school year? And you know how the teachers like to have the kids do something special for their Mother's? I love and cherish thos gifts, believe me! This is what I received from my son this year (he was in 1st Grade):

Cute, right? Who ever thought I would be as smart as his dad??? I know his dad didn't think so! Anyways, our kids get out of school before Father's Day, as I'm sure most other schools do too. I've shared a few printables the last few Sundays, just for mothers. This is the final one. This quote or saying is so true. At 13, we have no idea what our Mothers do for us. I have a daughter that is quickly approaching the wonderful age of 13 and I know one day, she will be thinking the exact thing I am today. I love and appreciate my mom so much. She is amazing. Thank you mom for all you've given me and still continue to give. So lucky you are my mom.
